I Love My House. Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!

First, before I forget… I am now going to be doing Wordless Wednesdays… beginning next week.  What are Wordless Wednesdays, you ask?  It is where I say nothing… just post a picture from the week.  I’ve seen this on a few other blogs and thought it was a cute idea.  So, guess what… I’m doing it.

Also, if you have a blog, I would love for you to link it up above on the “Link Your Blog Here” page.  Leave me a comment and I will come visit you and check it out.

Okay… enough housekeeping stuff.

*****

When we were looking for houses in this area, we looked at several and couldn’t find one that we liked and had what we needed… or Don needed (a huge garage).  We kept driving past this one house and we kept looking because it was more than we wanted to spend.

Finally, our realtor convinced us to just take a peak.

We walked in and the house was my house.  The decorations.  The wood work.  The HUGE craft area in the basement.  There was no question about it.

We put an offer in and bought the house.

Why am I telling you this now?

Because its 4th of July.

I love fireworks.  L.O.V.E. them.

The town’s firework show is right across the street.

Literally.

Since moving here, we’ve had a huge cookout every year.  The family comes over, we make a “field trip” across the street to the annual car show, have our cookout, play games, hang out… and then move our chairs to the front yard for the show.

To my front yard.

I get to sit in my front yard every year and watch the fireworks.

A front row seat.

The best part is… when its over… I get to fold up my chair and come into the house, get into my jammies and go to bed.

I don’t have to deal with the traffic and trying to get home.

I love my house.

Everyone have a safe and happy 4th!

i think i will bring my jammies next year it takes about 40 minutes to get back onto the regular traffic road from the fireworks. but you do have great parties with alot of entertainment right in your front yard! see you on the hot air balloon weekend IN YOUR FRONT YARD !

  3. That is just plain awesome. We have taken our kids to see fireworks maybe twice, because I can’t stand to add the traffic time to the already late bedtime. They’d watch them every year if it could be done from the front yard!
