Monday Manifest: Things I Wish I Didn’t Know

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend and that you have something fun in store for today.  It’s a rainy, dreary day here and I wish I was in bed, curled up with a good book.  Today is Mo’s unbirthday (you gotta do things like that when you have twins), so it’s going to be a crazy, fun-filled night.  We have been celebrating unbirthdays at our house for a couple of years now… I wanted the kids to have a day that was all about them, rather than having to always share a birthday.  We don’t go crazy… the unbirthday kid gets to choose where we eat out (or if they want their favorite foods at home) and they get to pick out one gift within a budgeted amount… usually $20.  So, a big shout out to Mo– Happy Unbirthday!

Since it is Monday, it’s time for Monday Manifest.  Today’s list is of 10 Things I Wish I Didn’t Know.  What is something that would be on YOUR list?  Share in the comments.

10 Things I Wish I Didn’t Know

  1. What it feels like to have one of the two babies in your belly turn over at 8-1/2 months.  Painful.  Excruciating.  Like an alien coming out of your belly.  Imagine the worst pain you have ever had…. and multiply THAT by 20.
  2. What a tornado looks like across the river from your hotel.  And, having your dad say he wished he was on the top floor so he could see it closer…
  3. What it feels like to lose your brakes going down the drag strip at 100 MPH.  Hmmmm…. about as fun as #1.
  4. How big the needle is that they use for a c-section spinal.  Trust me… when they tell you not to look.  Don’t.
  5. What an open incision looks like after colon surgery.
  6. How many feet your colon is.  About 5 feet… in case you wanted to know.
  7. What it feels like to walk into a hospital room and seeing your husband having serious difficulties breathing.
  8. How much it hurts to have the weight of a car trailer shift onto your foot.  This one is a toss up between being the most painful when compared to #1.
  9. Algebra.  You know, because I use it EVERY DAY.  Not.
  10. What it feels like to watch a tow truck pull your race car out of the river after the transmission fails.  Positively heartbreaking, my readers.
