The Reluctant Elf by Michele Gorman

Michele Gorman has done it again with her newest single, The Reluctant Elf.  After a phone call interrupts a nice dream she’s having, Lottie finds out her Aunt Kate has been hospitalized after a car accident.  Reminescent of the phone call she received during her parents’ dream vacation, Lottie bundles her daughter and herself off to Wales to see Aunt Kate.

After talking to the doctor, and finding her aunt is in a medically induced coma, Lottie remembers why they had to head to Wales for the Christmas holiday.  A hotel reviewer, and his family, is on his way to stay through Christmas.

Lottie has five days to become the best bread and breakfast hostess to help her aunt.  Except Lottie is definitely not the domesticated type.  And the hired help has left for Spain.

Lottie doesn’t know how to run a hotel.  Aunt Kate is out of commission.

Aunt Kate needs this rating to keep the bed and breakfast open.

Lottie is only hope is a taxi driver named Danny.

This single is a great, funny, and feel-good read.  As with all of Michele’s other books, she makes you feel like you are part of the story.  You feel like you could just pick up the phone and call the characters… because they are just like you and me.

I don’t want to spoil the ending, but once again Michele has weaved an amazing story.  (If you haven’t read The Curvy Girls Club, check it out too!)

The Reluctant Elf goes on sale November 13th, but can be pre-ordered right now on Amazon:
