Setting Up a Mobile Hotspot

A mobile hotspot is amazing!  Last weekend, the Hubs and I went to BloggyCon ’13 at Cedar Point.  While in our hotel room, we didn’t get a very strong WiFi signal…especially with a bunch of bloggers in the same hotel.  So, I decided to let him connect to the mobile hotspot on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.  I thought I’d share with you how to do it, so you would know too…

You can click Allowed Devices to only allow certain devices to access your hotspot.

However, if they do not have your password that you set up previously, they will not be able to connect.

To allow someone to access your hotspot:

Turn on Wi-Fi on the device that is to connect.

Search for the name of the hotspot you set up previously.

Input the password.

And you are set!

  1. Hotspots are the way to go! I have an iPhone & my husband and I have one that is desperate from our phones so we can share it. Sometimes we meet up for lunch & then use the hotspot to get some work done!

This was easy to setup and use. I think I might even been able to do on my own the next day. Definitely a neat thing to be able to do, you never know when it may come in handy.
