VBS Decoration Ideas
Nana’s church just finished another amazing week of Vacation Bible School. Each year, I head back “home” to the church I grew up in to help teach VBS. I thought this year, I would share some of my favorite VBS decoration ideas. Our theme this year was Submerged… so basically, anything “under the sea” themed was perfect.
One of the kids’ favorite decorations this year was a wall-sized submarine view banner that I bought from Oriental Trading. It was huge! And, uber-cute!
We also found some fish nets, blow-up sea creatures, and signs for our wall to make our room extra special this year.
For gifts at the end of the week, along with bibles we gave the kids pencils and notepads that we purchased, along with a sea shell and a fun, sea-themed decorated cookie!
I also made some super cute life preservers and portholes using paper plates and tape. You can see them on the walls below. Our room turned out to be adorable this year with the things we created and the fun items we bought from Oriental Trading!
(I know, these pictures aren’t the best… I was tired…)
Check out all the VBS decorating themes at Oriental Trading! Not only do they have decorating items, but they also have fun themed craft kits and goodies to reward the kids with! I highly recommend them for your VBS needs or any party supplies you might need in the future!
All products shown were purchased with private funds and were not provided by Oriental Trading. However, permission was given by Oriental Trading to use their stock photographs in this post.
the decorations were great and so followed the Submerged theme. I really liked teaching 2nd graders this year they are so ready to learn about Jesus. Thanks Julia for coming from an 8 hr day at work to drive from Troy to New Carlisle to be in Bible School and then to drive back to Urbana to fall into bed!!
