ZERO Exploited Children

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month.  Did you know an estimated 5.5 million children worldwide are victims of human trafficking?  Thousands of these children are in the United States.  One child is one too many.

Exactly what is human trafficking?  Children being bought and sold like material goods.  Children being forced into prostitution.  Children being made to work at grueling and dangerous jobs with little or no pay.  Children whose childhoods are being stolen.

One child is one too many.

As the UNICEF’s newest ambassador, Angie Harmon is supporting The End Trafficking Project.  Ms. Harmon is participating in several Public Service Announcements airing in January to help raise awareness of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s End Trafficking Project.

Not only destroying the childhoods of 5.5 million children worldwide, this illegal enterprise brings in an estimate of $32 million dollars annually.

Do you think this has nothing to do with you?

Human trafficking cases have been reported in every state.  The highest rates reported have been in California, New York, Texas and Florida.

One child is one too many.
