Chicken Cordon Bleu Rolls
Do you remember having “pigs in the blanket” growing up? I had a hankering for something similar to that – preferably without the hotdog. I combined two of our favorites to make Chicken Cordon Bleu rolls! These are perfect on a lazy day when you don’t want to slave over the hot stove for hours – or even for a quick snack or appetizer. At only 5 SmartPoints™ each, you can have two and not feel guilty! And, to be honest, I made these and forgot the chicken… and they were still delicious! Enjoy!
Chicken Cordon Bleu Rolls
1 roll reduced-fat crescent roll dough (8 per package)
3/4 cup (approximately) shredded, reduced fat Swiss cheese
8 teaspoons Dijon mustard, optional
4 – 6 ounces shredded chicken (leftovers are great!)
8 slices thin-sliced honey ham
Unroll and separate crescent roll triangles. Preheat oven per package directions. Down the center (from wide end to point) spread 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, if using. On top of mustard, place 1 slice ham, approximately 1 Tablespoon of Swiss, and a few pieces of chicken. Roll up from the wide end, to the point as normal – the ham and chicken will more than likely “hang over” the ends. Bake according the package directions. Serve with Dijon mustard for dipping, if desired.
