Pink Ribbon Ideas
Many of you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. In 2014, breast cancer awareness is going to become one of my missions on my blog, because of the devastating affects it has on women and families, and because it has hit a little too close to home for the Hubs and I.
Oriental Trading put together an infographic on some really cool pink ribbon ideas to raise money for breast cancer research! They have included some really cool ideas for fundraising at work, as well as some awesome craft projects and fundraising products. Check it out!
Please, feel free to donate your fundraising monies to a Breast Cancer Awareness charity of your choice, however I highly recommend the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. If you want to learn more about breast cancer, how to do a self-exam, and to donate, please visit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation!
Check out this video on breast cancer and make sure you check out the ideas that Oriental Trading has on their infographic for fundraising!
Very proud you are promoting breast cancer awareness on your blog. I strongly encourage all women to get routine checkups, early detection is key.
Eighteen months ago, as a result of a routine mammogram, I was diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer. All is good now but I can’t say it enough – Ladies, get your mammograms!
I’m walking in the Breast Cancer Walk next weekend in Chicago as part of the team honoring my dear friend’s sister who lost her battle with breast cancer over a decade ago. This terrible disease touches virtually everyone’s life in one way or another at some point. Thanks for making this one of your missions, Julia.
