Air Fried Pub-Style Chicken Legs
If you’ve ever craved the crispy, saucy goodness of pub-style chicken legs but didn’t want the deep fryer mess (or guilt), this recipe is for you! These air-fried pub-style chicken legs come out perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and ready to be tossed in your favorite sauce. They’re a game-day must, a crowd-pleaser at parties, or just a fun Friday night dinner that feels like you brought the pub home—without ever leaving your kitchen.
The best part? You don’t need a deep fryer, a gallon of oil, or a giant mess to get that crispy pub-style taste. Just a few simple seasonings, your trusty air fryer, and you’re in business. Toss ’em in buffalo if you like a little heat, keep it classic with salt and pepper, or go sweet and sticky with BBQ or honey garlic. However you sauce them up, just know they won’t last long once they hit the table.

Recipe Highlights
Quick and Easy: You can have these made and in your families hands before they get to the first kickoff on Sunday Night Football!
Versatile: You can jazz these up however you like – your favorite BBQ sauce, wing sauce, or just plain.
Bigger than wings: Why have wings, when you can have legs with more meat?
Ingredients for Pub-Style Chicken Legs
Chicken Legs: leave the skin on, and buy the family pack. You’ll need it.
Pickle Juice: yes, I know. But, trust me.
Air fryer plugged in? Appetite ready? Perfect. Let’s get cooking.

Air Fried Pub-Style Chicken Legs
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken legs
- 3/4 cup pickle juice from pickle jar
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Method

- Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees. Prepare air fryer basket with spray oil.
- Place beaten eggs in bowl. Place flour and seasonings in second bowl. Dip chicken in beaten egg, then dredge in flour.
- Place chicken legs in air fryer basket in single layer (do not crowd them – you might need to make two batches to fry all the chicken )
- Spray chicken with spray oil. Close up air fryer and set timer for 10 minutes.
- When 10 minutes is done, flip chicken over. Spray second side with oil and continue cooking another 10 minutes or until internal temperature is 165 degrees.

I have been meaning to step into the thank you for sharing your recipe. It has inspired me to finally try. My grandma used to make fried chicken I would like to try and resume the tradition. I am especially excited about the pickle juice!

This was the first recipe I made in my Air Fryer. It was a huge hit. My husband actually told me the next day I need to make it again.
