Tasty Tuesday: Easy Snickerdoodles

It looks like this week on Mom on the Run x2 is shaping up to be Amish Week.  Nana, the kids and I just got home from Berlin, Ohio and I’ve been trying to get posts done for this weekend while I am at Bloggy Con.

Today, I am going to share my Easy Snickerdoodle recipe because we had the BEST snickerdoodles from Hershberger’s Bakery in Millersburg, Ohio.  This recipe is no where near as good as theirs… but, it fits the need.

Easy Snickerdoodles
1 roll refrigerator sugar cookie dough
3-4 Tbs sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 cup flour

In a small bowl, combine the white sugar and the cinnamon together.  Break cookie dough into chunks and combine with flour in a second bowl.  Knead until flour is completely mixed into the dough.  Roll dough back into a log-shape and use a knife to cut the dough into even sized slices, about 1/4 inch thick.  Roll each slice into a little ball and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.  Place on a cookie sheet about 2″ apart and bake for 10-14 minutes at 350 degrees until the edges are golden.  Allow to cook for 1-2 minutes and place on a baking rack to finish cooling.  Store tightly covered in a plastic container.

Enjoy!
