I am the tired, full-time working outside the home, going to school to get my M.S.A., mother of 4 year old twins.  I don’t ask for much.  I just want a perfect Mother’s Day.  One that I get to do the things I want to do…

1. Sleep in late

2. Watch what I want to watch on television

3. Go to the bathroom by myself

4. Not step on Hot Wheels or Barbie dolls while walking thru the house

5. Take a shower by myself

6. Sit outside and watch the world go by, without having to keep one eye on each kid while they are playing

7. Spend the day alone or with other adults

8. Go see the Sound of Music

9. Eat dinner without having to clean up any messes or worry about wiping hands and mouths

10. Hugs from my kids

 

Today I am spending the day with Nana and I am taking her to see Sound of Music for Mother’s Day.

Three out of 8 on my list isn’t bad… I’m going to definitely get hugs from my kids, seeing the Sound of Music and spending the day with an adult.

I am shooting for #8, but you never know with Nana…
