Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

Three Months with the Samsung Tab 2

I have been using the Samsung Tab 2 for three months now and wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on the tablet.  As I am sure you have read on the blog before, I am not technologically savvy.  So, the entire thought of having a device that wasn’t a phone was strange in my world.  I was actually disappointed when we opened our bags in Chicago and found the tablet instead of a new cell phone.

Was I ever wrong– I can’t imagine life WITHOUT my Tab 2!  I take it everywhere with me– to the grocery store, work, doctors’ offices.  Everywhere.  In fact, it is sitting right here beside my on the chair.  I use it to listen to music, run reports for work when I am out of the office, relax on Pinterest or Facebook, do blog posts, shop…

I think my favorite things about the Tab 2 are the beautiful graphics and how big the screen is.  It is amazing.  Especially when watching videos.  The sound is also pretty cool too… music and videos sound awesome on it.  I also love how I can control the TV with it, using the Peel Remote app. I love being able to use it as a remote hotspot when internet access is a little spotty when we go somewhere.  It is linked up to my Gmail account and everything is synced– so, I have email and contacts wherever I might be.

There is one thing I don’t like, however.  I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone and whenever I switch over to the Tab 2, it takes me a few minutes to get used to the controls and buttons.  It is almost like it is completely backwards from my phone.  However, that is just an issue with me– like I always say, I am so not a technology person.  Really.

If you have been eyeing the Samsung Tab 2 and haven’t made a decision yet… go for it.  You will love it.  It is one of the coolest techno-toys I have ever owned.  It is very user friendly and makes meetings more fun productive because I am able to look at Pinterest reports while the speaker is presenting.  I never thought I would say it– but, I can’t imagine life without it!  From grocery lists, to recipes, to having some fun… I love my Samsung Tab 2.

There is one complaint I do have… and it is a pretty big one.  I can’t ever get it away from my kids!  They are always playing something on it…

  1. i know it is nice. when you get a new one can i have your old one

  2. Don Gibson says:

The tab 2 is sweet. Troy and Morgan are also very happy you have it as well. The tv remote app is fun and the size you just can’t beat. By the time its my turn to play in the tablet the battery is almost dead (guess I’ll try again tomorrow)

  3. I agree, I was a little disappointed as I was hyped to get a phone. BUT, the Tab 2 is awesome! I can check emails anywhere, love the hotspot, and the graphics are fabulous for games!
